Update on book, "Proverbs: Wisdom for Daily Living:

I am so excited because my book, "Proverbs:Wisdom for Daily Living", has now been published not only by Scribd.  Now it is published by Barnes and Noble, Amazon, Kobo, and is on the premiere catalog for Smashwords!  I hope that you will get it on you Kindle or Nook or some epub reader.  You can download a free app if you don't have these.

Today I want to remind you about what Proverbs says about the Tongue.

Proverbs: 15:1-2  A gentle answer turns away wrath, but a harsh words stirs up anger.  The tongue of the wise commends knowledge, but the mouth of the fool gushes folly.

Provverb 16:24 Pleasant words are a honeycomb, sweet to the soul and healing to the bones.

Proverb 17: 4 A wicked man listens to evil lips; a liar pays attention to a malicious tongue.

What we say can hurt or heal.  Sometimes cruel words can leave a lasting scar on the person to whom it was spoken. We need to be encouraging with our words to build others up.

Book published on Scribd

Hello,

My book was published today on Scribd! I am waiting for it to be published on other locations as well.  Since I have a nook and so do many members of my family, I cannot wait for it to be published with Barnes and Nobles.  I hope you all will read the free sample to see if you would be interested in this. Look under Proverbs: Wisdom for Daily Living by Kay Thompson Brown.

Proverbs. 2:1-5 My son,if you accept my words and store up my commands within you,(2) turning your ear to wisdom and applying your heart to understanding,(3) and if you call out for insight and cry aloud for understanding, (4) and if you look for it as for silver and search for it as for hidden treasure, (5) then you will understand the fear of the Lord and find the knowledge of God.

The fear of the Lord is a deep respect and reverence for Him. He gives us the treasure of eternal life.

Matthew. 6:21 For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.

Hello,

I have just written a book called Proverbs: Wisdom For Daily Living. I am working on getting it published through Smashwords.  It should be available as an eBook soon. Every few days, I will post a verse from Proverbs and will explain how I think it applies to us. You will be able to get an idea about the book which will follow.

Proverbs 1:29-33, (29) Since they hated knowledge and did not choose to fear the LORD, (30) since they would not accept my advice and spurned my rebuke, (31)they will eat the fruit of their ways and be filled with the fruit of their schemes, (32) For the waywardness of the simple will kill them, and the complacency of fools will destroy them; (33) but whoever listens to me will live in safety and be at ease without fear of harm.

The evil ones do not have reverence for the Lord.  They don't want the heart knowledge that comes from a personal relationship with God.  Heart wisdom is not made up of just facts.  It is deeply felt and causes a compelling desire to want to understand and apply this wisdom.  The foolish are complacent and unconcerned about the consequences of their sinful actions.  They will be filled with hatred, bitterness, lack of self-control, impatience, evil thoughts, apathy, sorrow, despair, arrogance, and other emotions that have nothing to do with the fruits of the Spirit.

Let's try to be wise in our actions!
